Schedules
Our training
program is 4 months and is broken down in weekly
segments.
Once you join
Sacfit,
we email your weekly training schedule segment directly to
you.
You heard right! Just open your email every Sunday evening or Monday
morning and there's
the whole upcoming week!
In each weekly
segment, we provide specific
details, comments or instructions pertinent to the specific training
week, as well as other useful information.
Further,
understanding that we
all have futures we plan for, we also provide you the whole season
schedule so you can incorporate your training program into your
calendar.

Target Races
Half
Marathon Training Program.
There are a couple half marathons that fit into our
Winter/Spring training schedule.
1. Shamrock'n Half Marathon.
An optional half marathon for intermediate and advanced walkers and
runners. This year it
will be held Sunday,
March
14, 2010.
2. American River
Parkway Half Marathon.
Our target half marathon. We encourage all our team members to enter
this
race. It will be more than just a race. We're talkin' an
EVENT! This year
it
will be held Saturday,
May 1,
2010.
Bench
Mark Races.
As part of our training program, we recommend entering races prior to
the goal race as a means to gain practical experience running
or
walking in a race. Plus, they're fun! These races also serve as
benchmarks
to gauge how you are coming along with your fitness. Our
team members are always pleasantly surprised to see how well they're
doing!
1. Valentine Run.
Held in the Arden Park neighborhood - only a hop, skip and jump from
our Saturday meeting place. It features a 4 mile and a 1.8
mile course. A great introductory race for beginning runners and
walkers! This year the race will be held February 13, 2010.
2. Shamrock'n Relay.
If
it's too early for you to run or walk the half marathon distance, you
can still join in on the fun. The Shamrock is introducing a
Relay component - a shorter distance, but challenging just enough!
A perfect distance for beginners and novices. and a great team event!
The Relay is held concurrently with the
Shamrock'n
Half Marathon on March
14, 2010.
3. Nutrition Fuels Fitness Run 5K
or 10k. A
convenient race for our Elk Grove/ South Sac resident team members.
Features
a 5K and 10K course. This year the race will be held March 21, 2010.
4. Run Rocklin 5K or 12K.
A
convenient race for our Rocklin/ Roseville resident team members.
Features
a 5K and rare 12K course. This year the race will be
held April
11, 2010.
